Our story
Inspiration for Human Welfare (IHW)
Inspiration for Human Welfare (IHW) is known as a non-profit organization. Since 2018, IHW has been working to create a beautiful, habitable and green world by providing inspiration to the youth to deal with climate change, environmental pollution, and disaster management.
The organization has been awarded national-level awards like Joy Bangla Youth Award 2020 for its contribution to climate change and has achieved promotional partnerships with the Asian Youth Leader Summit. At the same time, the organization is working for women's empowerment and youth development, which are aligned with the SDG's goals.
We are working with students at school, college and university levels to raise awareness about climate change, women empowerment and student development through awareness based campaigns, seminars, workshops, human chains and strikes. We have 300+ registered youth volunteers all over Bangladesh.

Objectives
Five goals that guide our programmes
Each objective maps to live projects, campus campaigns and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Promote environmental sustainability and climate action
Raising awareness among students, youth, and communities about climate change, environmental pollution, plastic pollution, recycling, and disaster management.
Empower youth and students
Awareness campaigns, seminars, workshops, debates, climate strikes, and other educational activities that develop responsible, informed, and environmentally conscious citizens.
Advance women's empowerment and social development
Creating opportunities for women and marginalized communities to participate in social, economic, and environmental initiatives and contribute to sustainable development.
Build sustainable and resilient communities
Promoting green practices, recycling, responsible use of natural resources, disaster preparedness, and community-based actions for a clean, healthy, habitable environment.
Create partnerships and strengthen volunteer networks
Engaging youth volunteers, educational institutions, civil society organizations, and national and international partners to collaborate on climate action, environmental protection, human welfare, and sustainable development.

Our approach
How we turn awareness into action
Reach students where they are
School, college and university sessions bring climate science, women's health and civic responsibility straight into the classroom.
Campaign in public
Climate strikes, human chains, campus clean-ups and rides for climate keep the issue visible in the community, not just in the syllabus.
Build lasting skills
Annual leadership and organisational skills workshops equip young volunteers to run their own campaigns responsibly.
Partner and scale
Working with universities, the DC Office, youth networks and national partners multiplies what a volunteer network can achieve alone.
